You may not want to pick a fight with Kiryu now that he's ripped, but the knocking at least means it's nor a burglar, probably. Kaz, who was minding his own business and watching TV, gets up and goes to the door. ]

Oh... [ Give him a sec. This is. He hasn't forgotten Yato, right? ] Yato, what's up?

[ He's just so impatient and I'm sorry for him... Especially now that he can't always be sure he'll get a response.

Kazuma taking a second is okay, because Yato also takes a second to stare at him when he opens the door. Is he... a little bulkier than the last time Yato saw him? ]

... Have you been working out? Nice. So hey, lemme paint your nails.

Oh, I woke up like this early this month.

[ He lets Yato inside. Don't worry, he's used to the staring by now. ]

...I don't have any nail polish.

Not fair. I wanna wake up buff too.

[ Yato got signed up with Retrospec and all he got was this stupid godhood.

Anyway!! He pulls out a honking pile of nail polish from his jacket pockets!! And judging by how lumpy his pants are, he has even more squirreled away. ]

I've got you covered!

It was really surprising. I had to buy a lot of new clothes...

[ Should've lived the thug yakuza life, Yato. Then all your friends can die too.

But Kiryu looks over Yato's shoulder and, woah, that is a ton of nail polish. ]

Damn. You must have like every color.

That's right! But I already know what I've got in mind for you.

[ He barges in and makes himself right at home. He'll sit wherever seems comfiest for prolonged nail painting and pat a spot for Kaz to sit too. ]

[ The couch it is, then. Kaz follows Yato and sits down beside him, holding out his hands. ]

I've never had this done before. What's the occasion?

[ He whips out some red nail polish and takes Kaz's hand. Here he goes!! ]

We're commemorating the union between you and Majima! I already painted his nails, so I'm doing yours to match!

[ Red!! It's like he Knows. ]

Oh, okay. [ Kaz is definitely on board now. ] That's nice of you, Yato.

[ Yeah, totally nice!! ]

So when didja know he was the one for you?

[ Oh good, gossip is totally great. ]

Hmm... I think I knew before I really knew, you know? We went on a few dates that I didn't realize were dates at the time.

Ooh, what kinds of accidental dates? Where were they?

We went out to lunch one time to a fancy sushi restaurant. Majima had gotten some kind of discount and he didn't want to go by himself, so he invited me. And another time he wanted to talk after a long day so he called me and I drove to a bar close to his club. It didn't really matter that it was late, I just wanted to be there for him.

[ So yeah, he's been into him for a while. ]

He was treating to fancy sushi and didn't invite me?!

Well, I guess it was for the better... Is this the real reason why you were going to Club Sunshine so much?

[ He still refuses to believe Kaz is the type to pay THAT MUCH MONEY just to hang out with hired company... ]

[ Kiryu chuckles. SOME PEOPLE LIKE TALKING UP RANDOM CHICKS, YATO...!! Kiryu is bad at managing his money. He eats cup noodles and pays girls to talk to him sometimes. It's a living. ]

I mean, I went before we started dating. But it helps that I can stop by and see Majima on the clock, too.

[ IT MAKES NO SENSE TO YATO...!! Even though, again, he used to work as a host. He just did what he was told and took the money ok. ]

Are you gonna keep going to chat up the hosts and hostesses there? You don't think it'd make him jealous?

[ Sometimes when you're a yakuza you chat up girls even though you're in a relationship, it's totally normal. ]

Nah. [ He shakes his head. ] Majima doesn't mind. He likes the business. And he knows he's not on the same level as hostesses.

[ he's got his own special level where they talk about their memories and feelings. ]

He's still charging you to go there? You don't even get a boyfriend discount?!

Of course. I wouldn't want to take advantage of him or anything.

[ He didn't start dating him for his club, obviously!! ]

[ Like who are you gonna give perks to if not your significant other. ]

[ Kiryu tilts his head a bit. It's true.... maybe... that's kind of weird. But the fact that Yato thinks they're both like that is kind of nice. He smiles a little. ]

That's okay, we're weird together.
