Mafuyu called Kaz and Majima to meet her at Peach Beach, at some unspecified location on the sand for them to scan the stretch of land to try to find her. It's not hard, with her toting around a shovel ready for digging holes and building castles.
That is.
A garden shovel, taller than she is as she waves it above her head, nearby families moving out of the way to make space. ]
[ With the whole tattoo situation, Kaz wasn't sure he'd feel super comfortable at the beach again, but then it's other people's problem if they don't like his tats, right? Yeah. Whatever, man. It's only the outline in his case, and it's not something he's going to worry about. Hanging out with Mafuyu and Majima is way more important anyway. Who cares if he's rocking a giant tattoo of a dragon down his back? It's a fucking rad tattoo.
And so Kaz, with his super ripped physique and rad dragon outline, makes it to the beach in a nerdy pair of sunglasses and some red swim trunks. He doesn't notice people staring, but trust me, they are. ]
Hey, Mafuyu.
[ He smiles. They had to build a sandcastle as tall as he is... he's not really sure how that's going to work out, but a shovel of that size seems pretty fair, given the task at hand. ]
[ majima, meanwhile, is wearing a black long-sleeved shirt (for now), though he's also got on swimtrunks. they've black with flowers on them it's pretty sweet. he's got some sweet sunglasses on, too, the kind where the lenses are just dark enough he can get away with not having to wear his eyepatch. he just...didn't want to wander all the way across down shirtless, i guess. but at least it's easy to spot both kiryu and mafuyu easily. he waves to them and heads over, catching up with....this shovel situation ]
[ The temptation to stare at Kaz's back is only overridden by the temptation to take markers and fill in the outlines like a coloring book. But today is beach day! They're going to gather up all the sand on the beach and build up skyscrapers of sand and then Mafuyu's going to kick them all down— that's the best part, and what she's really looking forward to. ]
'course I'm prepared! We're here on a mission! We can't leave today until we build a castle higher than Kaz's head! So it's gotta be this- [ She shoulders the shovel proudly ] -and we need to get large buckets or something. We can use one of those trashcans by the beach and empty 'em out.
[ Majima's choice in clothes almost doesn't surprise Kiryu. It's true that these aren't the kind of tattoos you maybe want to show off at the beach, but it's not like they're in Japan. Plenty of people have tattoos around here. Maybe none as elaborate as Maajima's though... he can see where he's coming from. ]
Did you get one of the bingo cards too, Majima?
[ Mafuyu knows what's up, though. This plan sounds impossible, but as long as they all have fun, he's here for it. A six-foot tall sandcastle though.... ]
Yeah, let's do that! Majima, you dig down and Kaz and I will use the sand to build the castle! We can trade off, 'cause the hole's gotta be wide enough for both of you to get down there, so—
[ Garden shovel gets handed to Majima; get digging. ]
[ Somehow building them both a coffin of sand to be buried in is a little morbid? A little. But Kiryu smiles anyway. It'll be fun as long as they do it together... ]
I can go first if you'd rather not get too sandy.
[ They are going to get sand in places it shouldn't be... the realest downside to the beach. ]
Okay, Kaz, you go get the water and I'll start building the foundation!
[ Foundation meaning piling up the sand into a mountain— they can wet the sand all at once to keep it from falling apart, and sculpt it like it's clay instead of building it up piece by piece. ]
[ Mafuyu can totally lead the charge here, Kiryu will do as he's told. Plus he's got a bucket and a can-do attitude. With teamwork, they can totally do this! Plus burying Majima in the sand (or getting buried in the sand) sounds pretty fun. ]
[ REALLY TALL CASTLE IT IS. The trick, of course, to building sand castles without it falling over is having a wide enough base to build up on instead of shooting for skyscrapers, so by their combined powers, the mound of sand starts growing up and up and up... also wider and wider and wider. Half the sand on the beach is going towards this castle. It looks more like a mountain than anything, but they can say there's a castle built inside of it- the perfect defense. ]
[ Beautiful. This is a sand mountain to rival the Empire State. Okay, maybe not really, but it's very tall. Mafuyu is doing so well, Kiryu is so proud. ]
7/whenever, family beach outing

Maybe if I sit down? Would that still count?

[ but rest assured that little bit it very important ]
The sitting down thing might work, or...
[ or .... majima grins. being around mafuyu really does bring out his childish side and it shows ]
We could bury ya in the sand. Then we won't have to work very hard at all.
