[ Majima needs the sleep, and Kiryu will probably get to remember he was tortured while he sleeps. Win-win. ]

I'm sorry for waking ya up.

[ Kiryu shakes his head. ]

I'm glad you woke me up for this.

[sotenbori]

[ he stops clinging to him so hard, but he does cuddle up to him. ]

I'm gonna try ta sleep.

[ Kiryu nods, smiling. ]

Okay, good luck. I'll be here.

I know. If ya need me, wake me up, okay?

I will.

[ Will he, though? Because Kiryu's probably just gonna wake up in a cold sweat later. ]

Try and get some rest.

[ dont worry majima will definitely wake him up with him when that happens. ]

Hey -- what's goin' on?

[judgementkazzy]

[ Yep, Kiryu wakes with a start, shaking and bringing his hands up to his chest and arms... just in case, you know? Finding no scars or injuries, he heaves out a breath and tries his best to calm himself down. The memory is still pretty vivid... but he'd had both eyes and remembered a commotion just before waking.

He was probably fine? ]

Bad dream.

[ majima gives him some space, letting him find his way back to reality without hovering on top of him. he doesn't know if kiryu even wants to be touched, given the way he's shaking. ]

It's okay, you're awake now.

[judgementkazzy]

Yeah...

[ Kiryu takes a deep breath. If it'd just been a dream, the memory wouldn't feel so vivid. He knows what this is, though he might not immediately want to admit it. He shakes his head, reaching out to place a hand on Majima's arm. ]

It's in the past. A bad memory.

[ Even if it happened, it happened in the past. It doesn't change anything, even if the memory makes him cringe. ]

Fuck, I'm -- I'm sorry.

[ he looks down at kiryu's hand on his arm -- or where it feels like, at least, it's still pretty dark. he knows what that means. it's the exact reason he hadn't told him, why he'd made it since july without saying anything. but of course, he'd had to open his big mouth, he'd had to have been weak, couldn't be stronger and helped him by just saying nothing. ]

[judgementkazzy]

[ Kiryu shakes his head, scooting closer to pull Majima into a hug. Yeah, it sucks. But after seeing the kind of pain Tachibana had been through, after remembering his house burn and seeing a guy chop his own finger off?

Yeah, it was awful. But he would be okay. Definitely. (Yeaaaaah, sure.) ]

It's not your fault, Majima.

[ I mean, not torture him at least! ]

[ majima doesn't return the hug, though, and when kiryu pulls him into his arms he'll find he's shaking pretty hard ]

[ Kiryu settles his head on Majima's shoulder. He may be scared from what he remembers, but he isn't so lost that he'll focus on that when Majima's distressed. ]

You didn't do this to me, Majima.

[ He shakes his head again. ]

I would have remembered eventually.

[sotenbori]

[ majima tries to fight off the heavy weight of his own guilt to reach over and cup kiryu's cheek with his hand, running his thumb along his cheek bone. kiryu needs him now, doesn't need him to be a wreck about how bad he feels. the only way he can make it better is by trying to fix it. the guilt won't do anything. ]

If we ever found who did that to you, I'll fuck them up.

[judgementkazzy]

[ Maybe threats of violence shouldn't be romantic?? Too bad. Kiryu smiles softly, leaning into his touch. ]

Yeah. That sounds good.

[sotenbori]

[ majima leans forward to kiss his forehead. now that he knows its safe to touch him, he won't stop. ]

I'll take care of ya, no matter what.

[judgementkazzy]

[ Kiryu sighs, melting against Majima. Nothing helps calm him down like his attention. If Majima could survive whatever had happened to him, then Kiryu can survive this too. ]

I know.

[ Just like Kiryu looks out for Majima. ]

It's okay, now, right? We're both okay, an'...whatever happened, it's in the past.

Yeah. It's in the past.

[ Kiryu nods. ]

It was... I don't want to think about it. This is what's real now.

[ He's still clamped onto Majima pretty hard, but that sounds good. ]
