[ Oh, good! Kiryu arrives with a nice takeout bag (he got Japanese mostly so he could get some tamagoyaki for Majima in case things didn't go well,) but he's happy to see that Majima doesn't seem too upset. ]

I'm home.

[ He steps over to Majima and kisses his cheek before offering him food. Look, they're domestic as hell, I don't make the rules. ]

He didn't hang up on me, so that was definitely somethin'.

[ He's looking out for Majima, ok... He loves him. He'll also start moving them towards the kitchen so they can eat. ]

We didn't have a ton of time. He was ... he definitely wanted to know where the fuck I've been.

Guess so. Dunno that he'd recognize me like this, though, 's better over the phone.

Me too. I ... to be honest, I was startin' ta question if he really -- I mean, it's fuckin' stupid, but all this shit with the memories...It was good ta hear his voice.

[ And maybe their parents aren't really their parents and their siblings aren't really their siblings, but there's more to family than just blood. And there's literally no reason to assume that people outside the city don't exist hahahaha ]

With everything that's been happening lately, it's okay to doubt what's real or not.

Maybe, I dunno.

[ he doesn't sound like he's particularly bothered by the idea, more that he Accepts It As Truth, because, of course, majima is convinced that he only deserves bad things and that tiny fact where he definitely remembered asking his kyoudaito kill him. ]

Mm. He said if I call again, I shouldn't take such a long time before I do it.

[ He's also prepped their lunch too, so feel free to dig in. ]

[ he will definitely eat. all this stress of making the call and then finally getting it over with and now he's actually hungry. which is good, considering he usually doesn't eat much but now he digs in and just goes for it. ]

I'm gonna call him more often. At least once a month.

I hope so. It's hard ta know what ta talk about tryin' ta leave all this retrospec shit out, but. There's still ... well, I mean, at least this time. A lot changed in three years.
