[Well, it's been an interesting experience. Ever since this Retrospec shit started happening he's been having trouble reaching his sisters that don't live in Recolle.

It worries him since while he honestly doesn't want to live with them (superstitions he's created about himself and such) he still wants to keep in touch with them to know they're safe. He's still a doting big brother in his own way.

Unfortunately, this rerouting business means that others are learning this first hand.]

Oh, thank God you answered. I was getting worried since I my calls couldn't reach you!

[Yeah, pretty sure Isaac didn't mean to call Kiryu with that worried and kind tone he has...]

[ Well, Kiryu recognized this voice... but he can't say he was expecting the call. And certainly not given his tone. ]

Uh, hey, Isaac. I think you probably have the wrong number.

[There's a hitch in his voice as he realizes he has a wrong number. It's true he's a pretty doting brother but it's something he likes to keep hush hush about if only because it's embarrassing.]

Uh... hey. I think I do...

[This is awkward.]

[ Oof. Kiryu can't help but feel a little embarrassed. This is definitely not a side of him that Kiryu knows.

He will, blessedly, not ask who exactly Isaac was trying to call. ]

Are our numbers similar? Or maybe Recolle's having some kind of rerouting issue...?

[Similar, that is. He's quiet on his end for a bit longer because he knows there's no way to salvage this conversation and he doesn't want to hang up either because that might make it more awkward.]

There could be a rerouting issue going on. But this is the first time it's happened...

A cell, since I really have no need for a landline.

It might be a Retrospec thing, I guess. Every time something goes wrong, it's usually Retrospec.

Well, good to know. Still, it doesn't help that I've been having difficulties calling my sister.

[The one he actually has that kind and nurturing tone for... yep.]

Yeah. She's in college right now on the other side of the country.

[And well, more the reason why he wants to try to get in contact with her.]

I'll probably write her a letter since we do exchange letters, but it's also nice to hear her voice and know she's okay.

That makes sense. I had a half-sister who used to live in town, but she moved back to Japan. Writing a letter's not a bad idea.

Yeah. The reply might be belated, but it's at least a good way to ensure contact.
