[ He's doing it because he loves you so much, Majima. He can talk about other dudes, they don't hold a candle to you. Kiryu nods. Even if he did ask Tachibana out, or his weird crush actually went somewhere, it wouldn't change how Kiryu feels about Majima. ]

[ He's not judging him, obviously. Maybe they're more alike than they realize. It's not a bad thing! ]

Yeah. Back then. With Saejima. I've been tryin' ta just ignore it, but....

[ it's hard. especially when he remembers the intensity of his feelings. ]

[ Kiryu shakes his head. ]

You don't have to ignore it. He was important to you.

[ Kiryu might not know that for a fact but he can guess, just with how Majima's talked about him. Kiryu's not really the jealous type. ]

[ Kiryu nods, certainty in his words. ]

You're allowed to have important people. I wouldn't ask you to stop caring about someone else who was important to you, too.

It ain't like that. Ya can like people in different ways, but it's not...it's not fair ta you.

[ Kiryu shakes his head. ]

It's not fair to you if you feel like you have to pretend you don't care about him.

Majima, I know what we have is... it's strong. Words don't really capture it. But I know that if you cared about Saejima, that wouldn't mean you care about me any less.

[ If Kiryu was any good with words he'd say "we're way too in love with each other" but, y'know. ]

I know that. But it's -- it's different.

[ he'd sworn an oath to saejima. to be together until death. if he gave his full heart to kiryu, did that mean admitting that saejima was dead? that everyone they remembered were out of their reach? ]

I'm not going to ask you to choose. You don't have to.

[ Kiryu slowly strokes an arm down Majima's back. The people they know... maybe they'll turn up here like Tachibana, or maybe they won't. Even if Kiryu remembers a life he doesn't have, he understands the desire to keep it. ]

But yeah, it was no big deal.

[ He just died in his arms but that's not the same as swearing an oath, we all know that. ]

[ lbr people dying in kiryu's arms is a pretty common occurrence!! ]

[ that's a pretty forward gesture though out in public like this. it's one thing to fight but he blushes at the thought of kiryu trying to physically reassure him ]

C'mon, lets go skate.

[ You're the only one to never die in his arms, Majima!! Plus with Majima not wearing a shirt, any kind of gesture is gonna come off a little embarrassing, you're gonna have to deal with that, Majima. Kiryu is trying to be reassuring here. ]

[ He smiles a little. Majima's cute when he's blushing. ]

Ah, just a warning. I'm not very good.

I'll hold your hand.

[ and just like that now that hes embarrassing kiryu, he's no longer embarrassed for himself. wild. ]

[ Indeed, how the turns... tabled. Kiryu blushes but doesn't say anything.

He will take Majima's hand, though. ]

See, that's what I mean! Majima special assistance. We'll have ya solid on those skates in no time.

[ hmm you know it feels like they didn't finish their last conversation though. the feelings one? weird. ]

[ Kiryu stops walking. ]

[ he stops too, but he doesn't turn around to look at him. ]

Yeah, I heard you.

As long as you know.

[ Worst case they can always fight to get their feelings across, but maybe they can ice skate first. Kiryu walks past Majima and pats him on the shoulder. ]

Let's rent some skates.

I feel like you're still wantin' somethin' more of me...

[ he kind of grumbles it, though, and does indeed follow ]

I just want you to know that it's okay. However you feel about Saejima.

[ It's too bad they don't have custom skates or Majima could get the sweet silver tip on his skates, too. ]

[sotenbori]

Yeah, an' I already said that ain't fair ta ya.

[ he checks out the skates and pays for both of them, and then hands over one pair to kiryu. ]

[ Kiryu grabs the pair and starts putting them on. He wants to have a nice time with Majima, but he also doesn't want Majima to just beat himself up about this. ]

Even though I don't think it's unfair?

[sotenbori]

I care about ya too much ta have it be a cloud over this.

[ he pulls on his skates too. kiryu if youre going to want him to understand you you're going to have to say more about this tachibana thing. ]

[judgementkazzy]

But I...

[ Kiryu thinks back to what he remembers of Tachibana, the way he'd felt in his memories... ]

The way I feel about Tachibana-san is the same. It's not nothing, but it's different from how I feel about you.

Then I hope...

[ but what he was going to say dies on his lips, and he shakes his head. ]

If you felt that way about him, if you trusted him...maybe he wasn't the one who hurt Makoto.

[ Majima, no. Kiryu catches that, but he's not a mind-reader. (Maybe that's what you get if you do SSSS rank.) ]
