Yeah, that sounds good.

[ Kiryu's just glad he can be there for Majima, he knows they're not exactly the most affectionate couple. Just this is more than enough. (For now...) ]

What kind of tea did you make?

Oolong.

[ he goes to get a second cup for kiryu and pours some out - it's thankfully still hot. ]

[ Kiryu grabs his cup and blows on it softly. At least Majima seems to be working his way up to doing normal things. Whatever loss in depth perception he has, he's gonna have to work through it one way or another. ]

This is good tea.

Yeah, it's pretty good.

[ majima goes to take a seat on the futon, come join him, kiryu. in this tiny ass apartment where theres minimal furniture. ]

Shit's supposed to help ya focus, right?

[ Kiryu will gladly join Majima on his futon. He sits down beside him, close enough that their thighs are flush against each other. ]

I think so? My aunt drinks Oolong. And matcha.

[ Kiryu's not a huge fan of matcha... ]

Matcha's hard to make, right?

[ he's not super sure. he may have gotten japanese back, but not an entire lexicon of japanese culture and customs. ]

Yeah, you need a special brush and stuff. I've never done tea ceremonies, but I know that's what they use.

[ All stuff Makoto's mom wanted to get him into but his parents didn't want him to 'waste his time on.' Yeaaaah... ]

Sounds like a lot of work.

[ sometimes he's not great with tradition, unfortunately. ]

Yeah, that was always my thinking too.

[ You have to sit a certain way and do certain things and it all sounds really hard when you can just buy instant matcha at the supermarket.

He takes a sip of his tea. It really is quite good. No ceremony required. ]

This is a lot more convenient.

Yeah, at least it didn't get over steeped or anything.

[ they may be talking about things that seem otherwise kind of pointless, but he is genuinely glad that kiryu is here to distract him from all of this. ]

[ That's what he's here for. None of this is normal, but at least they can be there for each other and try to make sense of it all.

Sometimes that means ignoring it and acting like everything is okay. ]

You're better at this than I am. I usually oversteep it.

[ he's quiet for a moment, thinking ]

Did ya bring your notebook? I actually remembered somethin' else, too.

[ Kiryu nods. ]

It's in my bag. Let me go get it.

[ He stands up quick and comes back with the notebook, along with one of the nice pens Majima gave him. ]

Okay. Go ahead.

[ oh that's nice that he's using that... majima's glad. ]

I was working in a club, but it was way fancier than Sunshine. Like...real fucking grand.

[ Of course, he wants to put those nice things of yours to use, Majima. ]

So like, an upscale club? Do you remember what it was called?

[ he shakes his head ]

I was kinda busy 'cause this guy was there tryin' ta fight me.

[ Kiryu starts writing this down. ]

He had information about that girl, I think. But wouldn't give it ta me if I didn't fight him.

Oh, an' [ and he delivers this completely nonchalantly. the same as you'd say and oh he had red hair or oh the sky sure is blue today:] he clearly fuckin' loved fightin'. Like he was gettin' a hard on from thinkin' about it.

Kiryu nods through the normal parts, pausing when Majima mentions, well, that. ]

Well, damn.

[ I mean, Kiryu likes fighting as much as the next guy but maybe not that much? For now? ]

[ majima gently takes the pen from kiryu so he can write the kanji for "hard on" followed by "-san." ]

He wore a magenta suit - ya remember anyone with a magenta suit?

[ Kiryu chuckles a little. He must have made quite the impression. ]

Yeah, I think I did. But he... might be the same guy that I remembered earlier. The white suit asshole?

[ Same face... Maybe not hard on-san? ]

Hard On-san was kinda older. Like late 40s, maybe? Dude was crazy fit for such an old guy.
