[ N-no, Mafuyu.... not the face... Kiryu's ultimate weakness is the suffering of children. HE'S SO WEAK!! By the time they get to the convenience store he can't take it anymore. ]

You can buy an extra candy bar if you want, Mafuyu. My treat.

Anyways, I already gave her a deal if she wants to drive my car. She just doesn't remember.

[ Kiryu shakes his head with a smile. Ah, these are his two most important people in Recolle (who aren't family.) They're so precious.

He'll just grab the ice cream while they're going on about that. ]

[ He loves his precious family so much, okay. This is the cutest... He's not even going to interrupt them despite picking up their ice creams and tossing them in a little basket, nope. You guys can keep being cute. Kaz is living his dreams. ]

[ honestly majima isn't really that upset. this is the kind of shit he pulled with his brother all the time -- although he does try to get his ponytail from her grasp. ]

[ This is playing dirty: Mafuyu drops off Majima's back, grabs a pack of peanut butter cups from the candy stand next to the register line, and slams it into Kaz's basket. ]

Kaz, tell him to tell me!

[ He did offer to buy her extra candy... ]

Ah. I'd rather not pick sides...

[ He's just going to awkwardly shuffle toward the register and try not to get drawn into this because it's cute and he doesn't want to ruin it!! He will offer her some advice, though. ]

[ and promptly forgot, but she did listen, when it happened. She jabs a finger at Majime, and sneaks a pack of M&Ms into the basket too, because you gotta have toppings on your ice cream. ]

Kaz is right, you should've written it down! Like a contract!

[ Should he even fight it? Why bother tbh. This is so fucking cute, Kiryu will buy Mafuyu her extra M&Ms because he's a weak-ass nerd. At least by now he's checking out so that's going to be the last thing you get, Mafuyu!! (Probably.) ]

[ Who would have thought that Kaz would get married and have a teenaged child at the age of 21... incredible. ]

[ She can't remember what she doesn't remember, that's impossible. But she takes her cookie dough ice cream once it's paid for and mulls over the offer for a moment. ]

Okay. How 'bout this? Whoever finishes their entire ice cream first gets to drive next time we go out.

[ Kiryu should be an adult here and tell them to stop before they make each other sick... and yet. ]

[ Putting rules in place is definitely better than trying to calm the storm that is Mafuyu. ]

Hell no, it's gotta be a deal that makes sense to both of us! That's why the last one was fightin'.

[ oops i guess i let the cat out of the bag on the original deal. ]

[ Ice cream makes sense and it's something they can do right here— but fighting is something they can do here too. ]

Oh! I remember! We did that in the park— [ no wait, Majima isn't supposed to know that was her he'd grappled with in the park ] —ing lot. And I punched you on your birthday too. We fought lotsa times!

[ Kiryu hums in understanding. Majima fights lots of people so it's not super surprising to hear. Of course, Kaz also never would have guessed Mafuyu could fight but Kaz is also pretty dense sometimes. This information does not faze him. ]

You might get brain freeze if you eat your ice cream too fast. It might be kind of late for that.

I said ya had to win!

[ hes pretty sure she hasn't won yet! she saves the park comment pretty well - he doesn't remember fighting in the parking lot but that makes more sense to him than thinking the kid he'd fought in the park was mafuyu its all good. ]

An', yeah, listen to Kazzy - no one wants brain freeze.

Brain freeze is part of the battle! If you get brain freeze, you lose and I get to drive! Come on, the ice cream's going to melt soon, so we have to do this right now.

[ She pops the lid off hers, holds it in the crook of her arm, and opens the bag of M&Ms, picking out just the red ones and dumping them on top before handing the bag over to Kaz. Since he paid for it and all, and red's the best flavor even though red tastes exactly the same as any other candy coated chocolate. ]

[ O... okay, Mafuyu. The walk home definitely doesn't take long enough for them to eat a whole pint, though. Kaz takes the remaining M&Ms and pockets them. Conveniently, he got some disposable spoons from the register, too. ]

Here, if you're going to compete, you'll want these.

[ He holds out a pair of spoons for them. ]

This is stupid, we're not having an ice cream battle.

[ only...he seems to be taking the spoon anyway. ]
