[ majima's pretty excited to meet up with kiryu, tbh. like in that way where he's excited about the sushi but ALSO about kiryu. he gets there and finds kiryu easily enough (kiryu, having probably not just woken up is mostly like there first) and they get shown to a table.]

This place is really fancy, I had no idea.

[ The same can be said for Kiryu, tbh. He makes room in his schedule to have the afternoon off-- it's fine, he can work the hours on the weekend if he has to. He always makes time for Majima. He just really likes talking to him and spending time with him. Also, yeah, sushi is great? ]

he doesn't want to play a game of whose life was worse or who suffered more - he's never been interested in that and he's pretty much convinced everyone has it worse than him (or at the very least, that his misery was all self-inflicted) but on the other hand, never giving kiryu anything why kiryu tells him so much...that's not how trust works. ]

[ That sounds awful, especially with how both of them have family in jail. Kiryu can't imagine how horrible that must feel-- for all that seeing his apartment go up in flames hurt, and made him check every smoke detector in his house, that was at least a concrete problem. This is not. (And yeah, these idiots always seem to think everyone else has it worse than them...) ]
